BRIGHT MASAKHA WEKESA
Chief Executive OfficerBright has over a decade of experience in policy analysis, advocacy, and capacity building. As a Policy Analyst, he has led diverse research initiatives spanning both micro and macro policy dimensions within the agri-policy and Public Financial Management landscapes. He provides strategic and executive leadership, setting the firm’s overall direction and ensuring the delivery of high-quality research, policy, investment, and advisory services. He leads business development and client engagement, oversees organizational performance and financial sustainability, and provides quality assurance across major assignments. He also leads multidisciplinary teams, strategic partnerships, contract negotiations, and stakeholder engagements while ensuring that the firm’s work remains technically rigorous, responsive to client needs, and relevant to development and investment priorities. Bright holds an MSc in Agricultural and Applied Economics and is in the final stages of completing his PhD in Agricultural Economics.
COLLINS BULINDA
Programmes LeadCollins is a seasoned Programmes Lead and Value Chains Specialist with extensive experience in design, implementation, management and evaluation of agricultural and social protection programmes. His expertise lies in developing value chain strategies that boost market access, productivity, and value addition for smallholder farmers while aligning with broader social protection goals, such as poverty reduction and food security. Collins is adept at implementing robust monitoring and evaluation systems to assess program impact, ensure adaptive management, and optimize outcomes. He holds an Msc. in Agribusiness Management.
MORIS KEMBOI
Head of FinanceMorris is a Certified Public Accountant with extensive expertise in streamlining financial operations through business process optimization and enhancing organizational efficiency. He is adept at maintaining and developing robust financial systems and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. As the Head of Finance at BRICS, Morris provides strategic leadership in financial management, contributing to long-term fiscal planning and operational excellence. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degre.
EDITH WAIRIMU
Livestock Sector Value Chains SpecialistEdith is a seasoned specialist in livestock sector value chains with extensive expertise in agricultural market systems, particularly in optimizing market access for underserved populations. She possesses in-depth regional knowledge across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Somalia, and the wider Horn of Africa and Sahel regions. Her work spans critical cross-cutting areas, including gender-disaggregated analysis, technology adoption, the evaluation of emerging livestock markets, and impact assessments of sectoral interventions. Edith holds a PhD in Agricultural and Applied Economics.

ICT AssociateGodwin is an accomplished Computer Scientist with a robust background in research, software development, and data science. Godwin has played a pivotal role in driving innovation and solving complex technical challenges. His expertise spans artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, and cybersecurity, making him invaluable in providing cutting-edge solutions tailored to our needs. He is dedicated to bridging the gap between research and real-world applications, ensuring that the BRICS systems are running round the clock to serve the needs of our clients. Godwin has a BSc. in Computer Science.
ASHLEY ASIN
Communications AssistantAshley is a budding expert in media, strategic communication, and visual design. She brings a creative and results-oriented approach to content development, brand messaging, and stakeholder engagement. At Brics, she supports the communications department in the development and execution of communication strategies that amplify research impact and visibility. Ashley is responsible for designing communication materials, managing digital platforms, and curating tailored content for diverse audiences. She is passionate about using storytelling and design to advance the sharing of knowledge.
REINHARDT BONKE ONYANGO
Data analystBonke is an econometrician and a quantitative analysis specialist at BRICS. He is skilled in designing econometric models that assess economic relationships, forecast trends, and evaluate policy impacts. He is quite proficient in software like STATA, R and Python to provide robust, actionable insights using data that guides our work. His work is critical in interpreting complex data sets, improving model accuracy, and guiding both micro and macroeconomic research efforts, driving strategic initiatives within the firm. Bonke holds an Msc. in Agricultural Economics with a focus on Applied Econometrics.
LABAN KEINO
Programs OfficerLaban is a market access and value-chain development professional with over six years of experience across agribusiness research, monitoring, evaluation, and learning in Kenya's agricultural sector. With his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from Egerton University, he brings a strong grounding in buyer research, unit-economics analysis, and evidence-based programme design, having worked directly with farmers, processors, traders, and cooperatives. At BRICS, he coordinates monitoring, evaluation, and learning documentation for livelihood, agriculture, and value-chain programmes, while leading proposal development for development-sector clients. He is skilled in designing surveys, FGDs, and KIIs, and in translating field evidence into technical reports and donor-facing briefs that inform decision-making. Laban has supervised field teams and managed data quality across hundreds of household surveys, strengthening the accuracy and reliability of evidence used in programme planning. He is a CPA (Section II) and is in the final stages of completing a master’s degree in Agricultural Economics.
REINHARD ENDEKI
Research AnalystReinhard Endeki is an environmental scientist and researcher with over eight years of experience in climate adaptation, environmental compliance, inclusive natural resource management, and community-based research. He has coordinated large-scale studies across Kenya, including research involving 1,800 households and more than 42 field enumerators. His expertise includes environmental and social impact assessments, climate-risk analysis, carbon-market projects, agroforestry, and Gender Equality and Social Inclusion.
Reinhard holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science from Egerton University and is a published agroforestry researcher.
